SIYA KAPOOR-
I'm sitting on the floor of my room, staring at the ceiling, tears rolling down from the corners of my eyes. Right now, I am so done pretending that I am strong and that nothing really bothers me.
"Fuck!Man, that sharp pain in my chest is unbearable. I can't take it anymore." AHHHH....." I muttered, feeling so helpless for myself.
Despite feeling suffocated by living in this place, being confined to my room and only venturing out when instructed, I find it nearly impossible to leave. I have already accepted my reality.
While I was busy struggling with my own thoughts, I heard a knock at the door of my room. I quickly stood up from the floor, sat on my bed, wiped the tears away, and allowed the person to enter the room. I saw the maid of our house come inside and inform me, "Siya, ma'am, sir wants you to get ready as soon as possible. You guys will be leaving within an hour. "Listening to her, I just nodded without showing any emotions, and she left the room bowing her head low.
I only attend parties and events related to business with my dad. However, no one in this world knows about me except for what my dad has shared with the public. "I have become a puppet of my own father." I muttered sadly at the reality of my life.
"Come on, Siya, get ready; back to pretending with that fake smile." Saying this I mentally prepared myself for the upcoming gathering.
I got up from my bed and went towards the mirror. I stood in front of it, looking at my reflection. I let out a sigh of helplessness, tears flowing uncontrollably. Internally, I screamed for freedom from this captivity that I yearn for every single day. Wiping my tears away, I took one last glance in the mirror before moving towards my washroom to take a quick cold shower to prepare for the long night.
After about 30 minutes, I came out of the washroom and headed towards my closet to pick an outfit for the night.
I entered the changing room and put on my formal attire for the event. I glanced at myself in the mirror and smiled satisfactorily at how well the dress fit my body.
I sat in front of the mirror at my dressing table after putting on the outfit and did light makeup, styling my hair with loose curls. I managed to achieve my overall formal appearance for the business event at last.
"Beautiful Siya as always," giving a last touch to my appearance. After a final glance at my reflection in the mirror, I stood up to leave the room.
I came out of the room all ready for the night and went straight down to the hall, where I saw my dad with his assistant waiting for me.
As soon as he saw me coming down the stairs, he stood up from the sofa, walked towards me, and gave me a side hug. "You're looking beautiful, dear," complimented me with a huge grin. I just nodded with a slight smile in response.
"Best actor of the year award goes to my dad," I thought as we walked outside the mansion towards our destination. This man, known as my dad, plays his role so well in front of the world, portraying me as his only heir. However, in reality, he treats me worse than trash.
I shrugged off the thoughts because I can't run away from this. I am bound to live like this.
We sat inside the car and headed towards our destination.
Then, my dad, his assistant, and I left our mansion and headed towards the Rajvansh mansion for the party.
Rajvansh Enterprises is one of the leading companies in India. They throw parties and events every year to celebrate the successful position they have maintained for many years.
As far as my knowledge goes, the sole individual responsible for this formidable empire is the king himself, Aditiya Rajvansh. His surname alone exudes power. I have never seen this person in real life, not even his pictures on any social media platforms, because he has not revealed his face to date.
No one knows him, but the fear of his presence scares every person working under and with him.
I am not currently part of the business world, but I am soon to be. Thanks to my dad, I have acquired a lot of knowledge about all things related to business.
Regarding Rajvash Enterprises, I am just curious to learn more about their system and the individual who oversees the entire operation. At the age of 28, Mr. Rajvansh achieved a lot, which is commendable.
It's pretty obvious now why I am so curious, as it's about the leading company in the country.
Fine, done with a lot of my knowledge and my curiosity about the business world. Let's come back to the reality of pretending and fake smiles.
After about 40–45 minutes, we reached the huge mansion of the Rajvansh family. My dad, his assistant, and I entered the mansion amidst the media's greetings. I am never nervous because I have attended many such parties and met numerous people. Moreover, I am soon entering the business world.
Obviously, not my wish, but my dad's wish. Nevertheless, it's totally fine.
With a fake smile plastered on my face and so-called confidence, I entered the hall filled with numerous business people and other well-known personalities. Everyone is busy with their professional gatherings; even my dad got engrossed in those meetings.
I, with my overwhelming sense of emptiness, retreated to a tranquil place far from the bustling gathering hall. It's a huge mansion, and I don't know why I am lingering here, even though I know I will get lost because it's so vast. Still, I felt the urge to roam around the mansion when I heard someone's footsteps approaching from behind. I grew suspicious and turned back to see the person, but before I could, I bumped into the strong, broad, muscled chest of that person. To my surprise, this jolty collision made me lose my balance.
